Legacy Georgia Enterprise Management Suite (GEMS) evolved to support GTAs oversight mandate granted through general powers via OCGA 50-29-3. Through its Enterprise Portfolio Office (EPMO), GTA uses GEMS to administer Investment Management & Project Assurance services on State of Georgia (SOG) Agency technology solicitations. These services are a part of Project Investment Lifecycle Operations (PILO) where the EPMO collects valuable technology project investment data across all seven of the Lifecycle stages.
As such, over time Legacy GEMS became a collection of acquired and developed tools that gather technology project portfolio data, but only support two PILO stages. None of the current GEMS’ tools offer access to dashboard to project investment data insights and reporting today.
Legacy GEMS has been reimagined as GEMS 2.0 and architected as a seamless suite of tools that provide case management capabilities across the entire Project Investment Lifecycle Operation (PILO). The result of GEMS 2.0, an integrated ecosystem of cloud-based tools designed to capture and store all Project Investment Lifecycle data & share it with GTA Stakeholders via interactive portfolio views of project investment dashboards.
